Programme "To grow and sustain the Lions International and the District 306 A-1 through impactful projects and partnerships that aligns with the sustainable development goals and the Global Causes that serves the needs of less fortunate in the society. We strive to achieve sustainable growth by attracting influential leaders to our membership and developing their leadership skills, enhancing the quality of our projects, and improving the services we provide to our communities."

Healthcare: Access to healthcare is a fundamental human right, but many people in low-income communities lack access to basic healthcare services. Lions Clubs could support initiatives to improve access to healthcare, such as providing free medical check-ups, organizing health camps, and supporting healthcare facilities in under-served areas.

Education: Education is a key driver of social and economic development, but many children in low-income communities lack access to quality education. Lions Clubs could support initiatives to improve access to education, such as providing scholarships, building schools, and supporting after-school programs.

Hunger and nutrition: Hunger and malnutrition are major issues in many low-income communities, particularly among children. Lions Clubs could support initiatives to provide food and nutrition support, such as food banks, community kitchens, and school feeding programs. In addition Home Gardening can be one of the most lucrative projects the lions can involve with the regional government offices involved in this process. (Divisional Secretary, Agriculture offices, Samurdi Offices etc)

Clean water and sanitation: Access to clean water and sanitation is essential for good health, but many communities lack these basic services. Lions Clubs could support initiatives to provide clean water and sanitation facilities, such as building wells, providing water filters, and supporting sanitation programs.

Disaster relief: Natural disasters such as floods, droughts, and earthquakes can have devastating effects on low-income communities. Lions Clubs could support initiatives to provide disaster relief, such as providing emergency supplies, rebuilding homes, and supporting long-term recovery efforts. (We already have the assistance of LCIF)

Our Goals for 2023/2024

Membership

New members to the existing clubs. (200 members)
Retention of members at the highest level
New Club Extension (10 new clubs)
Drop Members = 200 (Net Gain 200+200-200 = 200)

Follow the Global Membership Approach objectives

Rejuvenate districts with new clubs
Revitalize clubs with new members
Re-motivate members with new fellowship opportunities and exciting service,
Provide training and support to our Lion Leaders and
Finish the year with a positive membership net growth.

Leadership

Training Club officers (President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership, Service, Marketing & Communication Chairperson and LCIF Co-ordinator)
Training Regional level (Zone, Region and other officers)
Train and develop future leaders

Service

Empower innovative services from the clubs and reach 1.5 million people through services during the first half of the year. Make sure the service projects are sustainable, achieving Sustainable Development Goals and Global Causes.

Change

Administration and effective club management will guide your club to success. All the clubs in the district should do a study at the start of the new lions year (Best is to do at the end of the current year and study how you performed this year? study your club Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and the Threats. Looking at them and plan for the year 2023/2024 and make the right change your club has to do.
